The 2018 Books 4 Kids Lantern Festival was a huge success!

The Adult/Youth Golf Tournament had perfect weather, and what a treat to see the kids' reaction to their prizes!

Jace Christensen was the winner of the 13-18 year-old bracket. He won an Annual Youth Membership to Lake Region Golf Course! He and his partner Tyler Christensen were also presented with a trophy.

Ryker Warrington was the winner of the 8-12 year-old bracket. Ryker won a brand new set of youth golf clubs with travel cover and of course, a trophy to share with his partner Scott.

Trysten Huntimer was the winner of our 4-7 year-old bracket. He also won a brand new set of youth golf clubs with travel cover, and his own trophy to share with his golf buddy Ryan Huntimer.

A 3 and under bracket was added to the tournament, and the competition was fierce... for those who stayed awake through all nine holes. The ultimate winner was 2-year-old Kendall Reed! Kendall won her own set of plastic toddler clubs with the help of her partner and bear protector, Mitch Reed.

Here are some of the activities planned:

Guests personalized their lanterns with messages to loved ones, notes of accomplishment, dreams and aspirations, or anything else that touched their heart. The lanterns were launched at 10:30 pm. (We had wonderful volunteers who launched lanterns for our distant friends.)
